| Allow me to bring it to you... "Obama begins with a broad assessment of life in America in 2008, and life is not good: we're a divided country, we're a country that is "just downright mean," we are "guided by fear," we're a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents. "We have become a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day," she said, as heads bobbed in the pews. "Folks are just jammed up, and it's gotten worse over my lifetime. And, doggone it, I'm young. Forty-four!"" ""You're looking at a young couple that's just a few years out of debt," Obama said. "See, because, we went to those good schools, and we didn't have trust funds. I'm still waiting for Barack's trust fund. Especially after I heard that Dick Cheney was s'posed to be a relative or something. Give us something here!"" ""The life that I'm talking about that most people are living has gotten progressively worse since I was a little girl. . . . So if you want to pretend like there was some point over the last couple of decades when your lives were easy, I want to meet you!"" Really, Michelle? Life has gotten worse for you since you were a little girl? Not according to The New Yorker: To give readers an idea of the delusion involved in this woman's declarations concerning how things were better when she was a little girl, let's understand that in the year she was born (1964), 19 percent of the population lived in poverty. In 2006, that percentage is 12.3. [link:newsbusters.org] Do you think he is controlling her now Az Mod? This chick is the reason if for no other that he will not be the nominee. |

| Reading those comments, I say amen. Also remember, that LBJ's Great Society began in 1965,so when Michelle was growing up, things were getting better, year after year, every family had a stay at home mommy, and daddy could make enough to support the family. In 2004 dollars, median income for American men has fallen to 30,000 from 45,000 in 1970. Americans are working more, for less. Don't believe me, what is a gallon of gas cost today? $3.05-3.15 around Preskitt, AZ. Or home prices? Also at record highs as a ratio of median income. |

View this Comment Double A, I think what I wrote was that she is a loose cannon that he has to control. Looks like he hasn't accompished it yet. I should modify that to read that she is an accomplished, intelligent, WILLFUL loose cannon that somehow has to be convinced that she must control herself. Barack (and others) must convince her, and she must do it, or she is going to sink his ship. I might have to strike "intelligent" from the list and add "foolish" if she doesn't keep her anger bottled up. If she does knock it off in the interest of greater objectives, then perhaps I can add "wise" to the list rather than take "intelligent" off the list. "... this sidecar lunatic". Colorful characterization degaselli. |

| Somehow I find it hard to have sympathy for a woman who has a degree and is a lawyer. So she want's to whine about having to pay back her student loans? From all accounts the Obama's are doing very well for themselves but I guess it sells better to go before the masses and cry opression. Get a clue Michelle. What country would you rather have grown up in? Yeah you had it so tough. Got I hate ALL three of these pandering polititions we have to choose from. |
