Can you explain the following:/span>/span> 1. Oil execs say production and supply is up and demand is down. Prices are up because of speculation not lack of production./span> /span> 2. Only 25% of granted oil leases are being drilled. Need to drill more? Exploit already granted leases./span> /span> 3. Seven years ago, the War Chimp had majorities in both the House and the Senate, the Dems could not stop anything./span> /span> 4. Why are you such a NeoCon sycophant?/span> |

View this Comment If you believe any of news that’s being released over the weekend and this morning you will say yes we need to drill for more oil. The futures markets are being blamed for the high cost of oil but keep in mind that futures traders don't risk without knowledge. Saudi Arabia said this morning they could boost production to 12 million barrels a day next year. The world is using more oil and countries like china will do what ever it takes to bring oil to there 3 billion people. They are in the beginning of there industrial age and will deplete the oil reserves of the world very quickly./span> Then you have Iran, even your obama says he wants to blast them. I know he will never go after Iran it is political. He will be like Carter the world will push his ass around for 4 years then we will get a president with balls/span> So yes degaselli is right we need to drill here and keep our product here. Liberals are destroying our country because they are pussies/span> . |

Liberals are destroying our country because they are pussies*** Wow so much stoopid, in such a post... First off, China has 1.4 bil people, not 3bil. Next, if Iran is such a big threat, what has Emperor s***forbrains done about them? Other than bitch and moan, like the menopausal old bitty that she is. If Bush had taken some action, showed some leadership on Iran, then blasting away at Obama might make some sense. Get your God-King to show some leadership, and then you got room to talk. Lastly, yo Proud Lib! Whassup! You are right sir, from 2001 thru 2006 Emperor s***forbrains' Republotards had a large house majority and a majority in the Senate, and still managed to not address this issue. If the problem a nation is having is they are addicted to heroin, finding more heroin is not the best solution. The USA's problem is we're addicted to oil. Even Emperor s***forbrains says so. The solution isn't drilling for more oil, but finding, and developing alternatives to petroleum, so that we can create an entirely new market, with a replacement technology, that is renewable, that doesn't ship all our capital to the terrorist funding sources in the Middle East. |

Jun. 23, 2008 at 11:04:51 AM Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less is a A Movement that Is Catching Fire Across America: Blogged by: Newt Gingrich Since we launched the “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less” campaign last week, the positive responses we’ve received have been... View this Comment So the environmental rapists are out in full force. Do we really want the western slope of the Rockies looking like West Virginia? How much more green house gases can we tolerate? Why aren't the oil companies exploiting their existing oil leases? How much of the rise in oil prices are due to the Fed printing more money without letting us know how much in the M3 report? How could McWarSameBush be any more than a War Chimp third term? |

| We could have had cheap oil... Oilraqs sanctions were just expiring and they threatened to dump cheap oil on the market.... Bad NEWS for Bu$h's boyfriends in the country that financed al-Qaeda, you know....Saudi Arabia.... So instead of finding the people that Bu$h's Saudi lover financed that attacked America, Bu$h made sure that Oilraq didnt have a chance to whore the oil market. http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/001296.php http://articles.latimes.com/2008/apr/02/nation/na-terror2 http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/09/us-saudis-still.html
But it is not enough for Republotards and NeoCons and EVIL doers to not hunt down the people who attacked America, they have to enrich the people who supported them in the first place...
But wait, theres more..... Now we are going to make the terrorist's supporters NUCLEAR... http://www.newshoggers.com/blog/2008/06/us-nuclear-tech.html
All the America hating bastards LOVE the cost of oil........ |

| Just for the record, George H. W. Bush signed the Offshore ban and in 1998 William Clinton re-upped it before it even expired extending it for another 10 years. not sure if that means 10 years from the original 2002 expiration or not... www.cnn.com/TECH/science/9806/12/offshore.drilling.pm/ What really irks the hell out of me is the idea that off shore oil drilling is unsafe. Yes there was a spill in 1969 in Santa Barbara, but there was zero spillage in the aftermath of Katrina when over 500 rigs safety systems worked flawlessly. It's time to drill. We have the resources, the safety and the need. I not saying let's continue forever with a carbon based fuel dependency, but we have it right now and now is when we need the oil. Let us build four refineries, just four. One in Houston, one in or around Atlanta, One in Southern California and one somewhat near Chicago. Regional refining will save us millions. More refinery ability will save us millions. We can keep the coasts and the clean and Katrina proved that. In the meantime, offer huge tax incentives to individuals and corporation to invest their money into other sources and technologies, but don't destroy the the companies we have now just because someone feels they need to penalize someone. Our oil companies are the best equipped to get us out of the current mess if we just let them do what they do. That means drill and refine. If you are looking to go after someone, look in the mirror, we all did this to ourselves when we voted for people who lacked vision. And those who did have vision (Carter) couldn't have sold their vision if it came in a bag full of hundreds. So now we are here, in the now... Let's do what America does and get moving. There will plenty of time for finger pointing, Congressional Hearings and Subpoenas later. Oh and one more thing... If we want to make ourselves look better around the world, we will hire outside refineries in Mexico to take up the slack for us while we get our own act together thus sending billions down to those poor people perhaps creating jobs so they will stop jumping the fence for a 2-5 years. |

We wouldn't be having this discussion. |
