Sometimes telling the truth isn't the best policy. Especially if you are a lying scumbag.

From the AP wire, the GOP's plan for the next 2 years...

GOP Rep. Patrick McHenry, a key player in helping craft the Republican message, has offered an unusually blunt description of the Republican strategy right now.

McHenry’s description is buried in this new article from National Journal (sub. only):

"We will lose on legislation. But we will win the message war every day, and every week, until November 2010," said Rep. Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., an outspoken conservative who has participated on the GOP message teams. "Our goal is to bring down approval numbers for [Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and for House Democrats. That will take repetition. This is a marathon, not a sprint."

Like I said, Patty, less truth more messaging.

Instead of having a plan to move America onward and upward, the GOP only have a plan to tear others down. :(

So, after that fails, and there are even fewer GOOPers left in the House and Senate, then they'll need to be twice as nasty and bitter, to show Pelosi they really mean business?

I guess the point I'm missing is I thought these folks all take an oath to uphold the constitution and serve their constituents and the nation, and not serve their party first.

I'm sure some of America's finest can explainify why what is best for the GOP is best for America, even if that means prolonging the recession, and more joblessness.
