| The UFO thing. If you have ever seen one and you tell people about it, they get that . . . "oh really (this guy is a nut attitude) on" Kinda of like when you tell other golfers about your hole in one. I have experienced both seeing a UFO and getting a hole in one and keep my mouth shut about them now. Because people treat ya like a lier. But, I saw something in 1986 just west of the hills in Austin Texas. I had a C.B. on and it went crazy with others who saw it too. I had to keep going and never knew what it was . . . other than it was very huge. had lights on the bottom and it wasn't a plane, blimp, helicopter, jet, balloon or anything else i could identify. That is my story and I have stuck to it for 22 years

View this Comment Prome, have had the same experience as your hole in one, but mine was on a pool table. Back to back eight balls on the break. If not for the fact that I had witnesses I would never speak of it. Funny thing is, I bet my wife (she was my girl friend at the time) $20 I could do it a third time... Lost my money in one stroke. As for the UFO, can't say as I have ever seen one, but I in no way rule it out. It's a big universe out there. And now for the "no F*%king way story... I was 8 or 9 and lived in Northern California. I was with a friend riding motorcycles and we came to a clearing. About 100 yards away (could have more or less, when your a kid it's hard to tell) we saw a thing standing near a tree. Living in the mountains we had seen Black Bears and this was too big. It was brownish red and stood on two legs. Brown bears are no longer in California and haven't been since well before my birth. So what was it? I don't know and I'm not sure I want to. Needless to say, we fired up the bikes and it hauled ass and so did we. |

View this Comment Double A, I read a book back in the 1960's, but all I remember of the title is ABSM. Now the book below may be that one, but I am not sure. I had no luck in finding content on-line that I could examine to recognize and verify it. The author of that book (maybe Sanderson) developed a very plausible theory on these creatures (more than one species) which are distributed pretty much globally. Not just the Yeti in the Himalyan Mountains, but creatures of a similar kind in the Northwestern U.S. and elsewhere. He couches the theory in terms of the relentless push of more civilized creatures on more primitive creatures that relegates them and isolates them more and more in the hinterlands, only to be seen on rare occassion. The argument is usually "If they were there, we would know it." The author counters with the example of a vast herd of elk (I think it was elk) in Canada which had just recently been discovered. This thundering mass of huge animals had never been noticed before. And then there was the tribe in Borneo (?) that had come to light and had never encountered a person from the civilized world, even though a world war had swirled around them. I don't doubt that you saw something that was not recognizable. Abominable Snowmen: Legend Comes to Life by Ivan T Sanderson

| Yup. I’ve seen UFOs on two occasions. Years ago along the northern reaches of the mighty Mississippi, and just within a couple of months recently from my back yard here in AZ./span> /span> Note: he did not say extraterrestrials or aliens. /span> /span> They were Unidentified by me (but I know what they were NOT!), and they were Flying Objects, which qualifies them as UFOs. /span> /span> |
