I read the all too short article by our very own Patricia Johnson (and boy was it nice to see something from her) and it got me thinking about a conversation I had with a recovering Democrat the other day via the phone.

He asked me if I still thought Hillary might yet try to pull the rug out from under the Chosen One's chastened feet.

I said yes I do and he listened is stunned amazement as I told him how I thought she might do it. Of course there are a number of ways she can do this outside of what I believe would be the easiest and "cleanest" way. By clean I mean no scandal opening.

So here is the cleanest scenario I can come up with that is plausible.

The Convention's big reveal is Monday night when Michelle Obama (I'll just call her the Proud One) takes to the stage for what is to be her first nationally televised speeches where there is a chance that more than 5 people might be watching. Of course the next night is her Excellency Hillary taking center stage. Oh, how she pissed she must be to play day two to not just the up-start politician but now by being forced to the back of the Convention Bus by his "not a damn qualification" wife.

That leaves just enough time for very own reveal. Her pick or at the very least, her short list of VP candidates.

Sometime between Monday the 18th and Monday the 25th of August there could well be a "leak" that Hillary has already put in place a VP or perhaps even an entire Cabinet.

I would look for the leak to come early in the week, so that she can drop the big bomb on the 25th hours before Michelle Obama takes the stage and at the beginning of the weekly new cycle. As we all know, if it gets released in Friday night, it doesn't tend to take flight on Monday, but break it Monday night... Oh it gets wind under its wings.

Any idea what this would do the Proud One's pride and sense of importance? It would take her down a notch to be sure. And what of the Anointed One's followers and those who are with him out of a sense of inevitability and not enthusiasm? Hillary could rip a huge hole in the fabric of the convention.

She already has her name on the ballot for the nomination. She has the foundation and the backing to go the distance if need be. She has the team in place to take her to November and with the Party money, she will be set.

She can't win of course. But neither can Obama. So does it matter which one gets on the ticket? Not really to me. But it does for the media, the history books and the Clintons.

But what would I know; I'm just an Average American.
