I think Rush is going to help the GOP keep the base together, and the party message pure.

The problem is as Pres. Obama's plan begins to put people back to work, and people drive past these job sites, and see all those pick up trucks, and then those workers come into shop and play at other businesses, that'll reinforce the fact that Democrats rule, and Republitards drool.

Exactly.
As the trend was in favor of the anti government, deregulation message the right wing conservative talkers propelled the idea and the argument was reinforced by the success that rich peeps and Big Business was doing well, which in turn meant that some Middle Class folks did well also.

Now that the "do it cheap" "drown the govt" anti regulation ideology has failed so totally, the more Rush talks, the worse the Republicans are going to do in elections. Because the ideas have done exactly what they did in 1929, they've hollowed out the regulations, and the entire financial industry has collapsed.

What does Milton Friedman say about the Grandfather report?

Dr. Milton Friedman, Nobel Prize winner for excellence in economics, said in various letters: "I certainly commend you for the Grandfather Economic Report, and for the imaginative way in which you have displayed data highly relevant to very important issues. Democrat apologizes to Rush!!!!

Late this afternoon, in keeping with apologies to Rush Limbaugh from Georgia Republican Phil Gingrey and RNC Chairman Michael Steele, Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) issued the following statement:

“I’m sorry Limbaugh called for harsh sentences for drug addicts while he was a drug addict. I’m also sorry that he’s bent on seeing America fail. And I’m sorry that Limbaugh is one sorry excuse for a human being.”
