Now I think once you familiarize yourself with the Tar Baby tale that you will recognize a certain stubborn arrogance in Brier Rabbit. A "stay the course" at all costs determination, you might say. Make no mistake, any resemblance between Brier Rabbit and our very own Bush Rabbit is purely coincidental. On the other hand …
... he does sound a little like Uncle remus telling us a bed time story at times. "`Ef you don't lemme loose, I'll knock you agin,' sez Brer Rabbit, sezee, en wid dat he fotch 'er a wipe wid de udder han', en dat stuck. Tar-Baby, she ain'y sayin' nuthin', en Brer Fox, he lay low.” The Wonderful Tar Baby Story
Bush Rabbit is staying the course just like Brier Rabbit did because he just keeps getting “stucker” and can’t figure out how to get loose. The difference is that Bush Rabbit has gotten not only himself stuck, but somewhere in the neighborhood of 300,000,000 Average Americans as well.

That closing line about 300,000,000 Average Americans is ludicrous. The rich ones will never be stuck in Iraq; if the US led invasion kills 130,000 iraqis (the present number) 250,000, or 10,000,000, along with 2400 GI's, or 3000, or 5000, the rich and powerful don't care. They ain't stuck. It ain't the people from the country club, or their neighbor in the gated community who are dying, so screw them, they obviously deserve what has happened for the decision to be Iraqi, or the decision to trust Bush as the Cmdr in Cheif.
