Today, the US vetoed a resolution from the UN security Council condemning the Israeli bombing of a target near a school yard that killed 18 innocent people, including 2 women and 9 children. The resolution also called for the Palistinians to find and stop the people responsible for the shelling into the politcal Israeli territory. It is amazing that one veto has so much power in a supposdly world body.
I want people to understand that before there is peace, anywhere, there must be justice first. Justice is the only thing that keeps us from killing each other wholesale. If, no matter what we do to obtain jusitce becomes futile, we have to resort to survival. We must understand too that the only difference between the Palistinians, and the last time this "collective punishment" policy was carried out against the European Jews during the reign of Adolf Hitler is that the Palistinians will fight back.
Remember, there is no peace, before there is justice.

"and the last time this "collective punishment" policy was carried out against the European Jews during the reign of Adolf Hitler"
Zan,
What the hell does this mean. Do you think Hitler was justified in what he and the Nazi's did to the Jews?
Do you feel that Israel has a right to be or do you think that the land it sits on should be given to the Palistinians?
I really want answers to these questions prior to making further comment because I really don't get your point.
Is it about the American's veto power or about Palistinians being held responsible for the horrible things they have done to Jews? OR do you really just want justice for both sides, or just your side?
