I put this in poetry but it could go maybe in Health, like when a person's Alzheimer gene acts up or in jokes and funnies maybe. Anyway, has this ever happened to you guys? Wow, this is only part 1 of 5

 

 

    Advancing Age--Part 1 of 5

  Advancing age is part of everyone's life  This happened to me man what a sight!

  I head to the grocery store got it down pat   Who needs a list for flour it's simple as that?

  Walking through the store I say to myself  Look at all the sales sitting on the shelves

  So I pick up this and pick up that   This is real easy as a matter of fact

  I head to the checkout got my Visa here I come   The cashier said "it's been expired since 2001"

  Well I reach for my wallet discover that it's gone   Left it on the sink should have brought it along

  I fiddle with my pockets feeling like a bum   Find a crumpled up twenty "where did that come from"?

  I get done shopping head for my car   Out to the parking lot didn't park far

  Hey where's my car I wonder in a panic ?  It was just over here it didn't just vanish!!

  So I keep my head down just taking a stroll   Not let people know age is taking its toll

  I finally find my car and open the unlocked door   Dang if I didn't drop my keys there on the floor

  So I drive on home walk in the door  That wasn't so bad just going to the store

  The wife says "got my flour, what took you so long"?  I said "Hon got to go back can you come along"?

  Hon can we hurry I got to go to work   She said "Today is Sunday you stupid jerk"

  I have a prescription for some memory pills  Where did I put them are they with the unpaid bills?

  This is only Part 1 of my Advancing Age  This is it for now I can't remember the next page!!
