I recently re watched the first season of 24 and noticed how close the events in the show are linked to this years presidential election.  In the beginning of the season jack Bauer's boss told him that if an attempt was made on the first black candidate for president that had a shot at winnings life that the country would be torn apart.  That statement could not be truer, if an attempt was made on Obama's life it would be the most devastating loss of a political figure since JFK.  The American public would be put into a whirlwind of emotions, beliefs, and conspiracies.  Also in the show Presidential candidate David Palmer his wife Sherry wants to be president  more than he does hmmmmm.... who does that remind you of?  We have to give credit to all of the Jack Bauer's out their protecting the candidates no matter how much we don't like them.  Last thing did anyone ever notice in season 4 John McCain made a special appearance some times things are just too coincidental.
